And they take violent steps towards satiating their hunger, just like the crazy masses in Soylent Green.

Now, imagine if the masses in Soylent Green were all bloodthirsty vampires, dying to feed....and thats part of what youll see in Daybreakers.

Check out my review for it:

http://filmconnoisseur.blogspot.com/2010/05/daybreakers-2009.htmlFranco Macabrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10994905312221715861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-706937351903658758.post-68270512614139710722010-11-29T16:06:06.108-05:002010-11-29T16:06:06.108-05:00I haven't yet! I loved it too, the film to me, has elements I also saw in Logan's Run for example. That whole thing with killing the elderly, the adress the issue that after at time humans become useless and should be put to sleep? Or should they? Controversial subject manner right there!

The images and atmosphere in the film does get a bit horrifying, I mean, the freaking masses is what spooks you on this one! Their uncontrollable hunger, and the governments failure to satasfy it.

Its an issue that was recently addressed in Daybreakers, you seen it yet?Franco Macabrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10994905312221715861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-706937351903658758.post-83255834769083413402010-11-29T14:22:29.356-05:002010-11-29T14:22:29.356-05:00Indeed I did read that about Edward G. I can't remember much of it--that's remedied from reading this excellent review, though--beyond the ending. Epic ending.

I'll have to see if my library has a copy of this tucked away.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15675220785164388203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-706937351903658758.post-7811137022691551802010-11-28T19:17:24.824-05:002010-11-28T19:17:24.824-05:00What adds to the poignancy of Edward G Robinson...What adds to the poignancy of Edward G Robinson's final scene is that he died shortly after. This was the great man's last film. No one ever makes sci-fi that considers what would happen if we don't advance society, but this one nails it.The Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09871017982169159144noreply@blogger.com
