Eyes Without a Face. Great old movie!
Hi Andre.
Coool post!! I love the ones in Eyes Wide Shut!
Glancing over this reminds me of how creepy/effective masks can be. Especially the examples like The Shining (eww!), Eyes Wide Shut (oh, Kubrick), and The Strangers, where I thought the masks were the coolest & most interesting part.
Also, the inclusion of Leatherface reminds me of TCM 2, where he forces Stretch to wear a mask... made of her station manager's face. Again, ewwww!
Andreas--I tried very hard to get that screengrab of that moment from TCM 2 but it did not work out! I thought of it too though.....incredibly effective and creepy.
But what about The Town That Dreaded Sundown!?!?
Great post.
Isn't that more of a sack? I thought about Nightbreed, and Jasons burlap sack too, but ultimately decided it was more of a cover than a mask?
Dude, Cronenberg's character is totally wearing a mask! Other than that, amazing screenshot post, as usual. You make me feel positively lazy.
